“ChelsC” is a combination of my nickname plus my last name initial and the pronunciation of my whole first name. Complicated? Maybe. Creative, always. My real name is Chelsea. Located in Ottawa, ON, but I’m originally from St. John’s, Newfoundland. I’m a two-time student of Algonquin College, once for photography and once for web development. I love music–  especially hip hop– you’ll see it in a lot of what I do. My favourite food is sushi, my favourite candy is Reese’s, and I have a rescue Chihuahua named Cole. Now that you know me a little bit better,  let’s get to work, shall we?

Web development: Since high school I was the one people went to for all of their Myspace and Geocities needs. Surprisingly, that’s where it started. After dabbling in it for fun, making websites for friends, people told me I should do it for a living. So I made it my career path. I became a graduate of Internet Applications and Web Development at Algonquin College (say that 10 times fast) in 2015. Now, I specialize in front-end and back-end website development.

Graphic design: Photoshop has been a passion of mine since the dawn of its time. With a lifetime of practice, I’ve become a self-taught graphic designer and photo editor. While I began with investing in my crazy photo editing skills, this morphed into designing logos, flyers, website templates, and any other design elements you can think of.

Photography: After attending college to study photography, I went on to specialize in shooting live music, artist + model portfolios, and family portraits. I have been working as a serious photographer since 2008, having covered many high profile hip hop (and other genres) shows and Canadian summer festivals (like Bluesfest). Photography led me to starting Envy Magazine which led me to interviewing and photographing some very important people in the hip hop industry.
